The Smaller, The Better

Well, after looking at Calshot I realised there was no way I would build another lighting pelmet nor create a new backscene. My thoughts turned to what I had built already - a loco shed. I suddenly realised that all I needed was a small extension, capable for further expansions later on. So here's what I have come up with:

That's a great compromise. A loco shed will add much visual and operational interest...plus I always enjoy sending the loco back to the shed for coal and water etc. It also provides a little bit of a scene breaker, too. Looking forward to seeing this come together!

Thanks! I do like the idea of sending the loco back to the shed. I was thinking once I had built the board to add a few cameos such as locomotive crew outside talking sat on a pile of old sleepers and the odd oil drum. I had also realised the possibility of the loco shed (and newly built water tower, check my layout thread on RMweb) to act as a view blocker - something which has been missing from 'Calshot'! It used to be a wooden board painted black!
Glad you like it,
