Putting your foot in it!

Now we've got a basic outline, where do you progress from here? Well you draw many sketches of variations of different plans!

Here's eight I've knocked up. But I'm not sure which, if any, to go for! (Sound familiar? )

Maybe pic 5 - less is more as they say, having the tallest structures to the rear generally works best too. Think of it as a theatre set. Of course I could be taking total rubbish so don't pay any attention to me.

I'd suggest getting some cereal boxes (maybe a tub of custard powder for the castle) and build some mockups of the buildings and try it. I like the bottom right on best.

Thanks Chris, and for the info on painting on your blog! It's funny as two items on my list of priorities is 'less is more' and 'big structures to rear'! A lot of people have said that sketch works best too.

Thanks Zabdiel, I'm just about to start exactly that, i'll use the part built castle from the MkI layout.

The plan should be finished by tonight with any luck.
